Overview
Checkout Donations allow customers to make an optional donation to the church or ministry they are purchasing from during checkout.
Donations are separate from product sales, commissions, and other earnings, but they follow the same payout workflow. The storefront receives 100% of the donation amount, while a separate donation processing fee is charged to the customer to cover payment processing costs.
How Checkout Donations Work
When Checkout Donations are enabled, customers will see an optional section during checkout labeled:
Donation to {Shop Name}
Customers can:
- Enter any donation amount.
- Review the donation processing fee before completing their purchase.
- See both the donation and processing fee as separate line items in their order summary.
If no donation is entered:
- No donation is added to the order.
- No donation processing fee is charged.
Note: Checkout Donations are only available when the cart contains products from a single storefront.
Donation Processing Fee
The donation processing fee is charged in addition to the donation amount.
It consists of:
- A percentage based on the storefront’s current membership plan.
- A fixed $0.30 transaction fee.
The storefront always receives the full donation amount.

The church receives the full $25.00 donation.
