DTF Gang Sheet Workflow

This is the updated process for preparing and submitting DTF gang sheets. Please follow these steps carefully to ensure accuracy and prevent reprints.

Open Required Tools

  • Mandatory: Affinity Photo 2, Order Desk, Dropbox, DTF Carolina
  • Optional: TCS / IM XE

Check Orders in Order Desk

  1. Go to the SanMar Order folder.
  2. Select orders containing DTF items.

Retrieve Design Files

  1. Click Show Metadata → Sync Items in Inventory.
  2. Download design files from the Dropbox link.

Set Up Canvas in Affinity Photo 2

  1. Create a new canvas.
  2. Use DTF Carolina template settings:
    • Units: Inches
    • Resolution: 300 DPI

Checklist:

  • Ensure all designs are high-resolution (300 DPI minimum)
  • Split designs into two separate canvases if needed:
    • Colored designs on one sheet
    • White / white-outline designs on another

💡 Note: DTF Carolina often adds a white layer beneath designs. Separating canvases helps avoid unwanted white outlines and allows them to make necessary adjustments.

Place Designs on Canva

  • Maintain proper layout.
  • Leave at least 1 inch spacing for cutting.

⚠️ Important – Reserve / Mixed Garment Orders:
Chest print sizes may vary by garment type & size. Incorrect sizing increases reprint risk.
